Moama Riverside Holiday Park
Q & J Constructions was engaged by Moama Riverside Holiday Park to build and install six new cabins, replacing those destroyed in previous floods. The project aimed to provide high-quality, flood-resistant accommodation for holidaymakers while minimising disruption to the park’s operations.
Project Challenges and Outcomes: The Moama Riverside Cabins project presented two significant challenges:
- Future-proofing the new cabins against flooding, given the park’s history of flood damage and the need to protect the investment.

Minimising disruption to the park’s daily operations during the installation process, ensuring that guests and staff could continue to use the facilities with minimal disturbance.
To address these challenges, Q & J Constructions employed two key strategies. By building the cabins off-site in Somerville and transporting them to Moama, Q & J minimised the impact on the park’s operations, reducing noise, traffic, and other disruptions. The cabins were also designed and constructed with flood resilience in mind, and were raised to current flood levels to protect against future flood events.
The outcome was a successful installation of six high-quality cabins, comprising two single-bedroom and four two-bedroom units. The cabins were connected to essential services, including power, water, and sewer, and were installed using a crane, ensuring a precise and efficient process. The project not only replaced lost accommodation but also enhanced the park’s overall offering, providing comfortable and secure lodgings for guests.
This installation is part of a larger collaboration between Q & J Constructions and Moama Riverside Holiday Park, with 10 additional cabins installed in Albury over 12 months, including new poolside villas that have increased revenue for the park. The success of this project demonstrates Q & J Constructions’ capabilities in delivering high-quality, bespoke cabin solutions for holiday parks and private backyards.
